During the 2008 Anniversary Week in Gettysburg, the USCC held presentations in Alumni Park for nine exciting nights. Under the big top in the park patriotic hymns opened each night, followed by historical speeches that highlighted the foundation that faith is in our nation's history. College Students and volunteers from across America read portions of the Declaration of Independence and the Mayflower Compact. USCC Executive Director portrayed Abraham Lincoln and presented a powerful "1863 National Fast Day Proclomation" and the Gettysburg Address.
Each night featured different choirs from local churches and opened with the California Baptist University singing group! It was very special to see young people join to pay tribute to the nations foundation and to God.
One visitor commented " Of all the years we have come to Gettysburg, this was the best thing we have come to!"
Plan to join us in 2009 for another great week of celebration!
