The U.S. Christian Commission team and Coffee Wagon were privileged to be a part of the 142nd Annual Memorial Day parade in Gettysburg. The Coffee Wagon rolled out for the first time along the Gettysburg streets and received applause and many "What is that?" comments along the parade route !
Charty Gray and his wife Susan marched alongside the wagon and son Ben was the driver for the truck to pull the wagon. Faith Wega and Katelyn rode the wagon waving along the way! Susan and John Wega marched with the wagon, too and passed out souvenir cards with a picture of the wagon for a keepsake from 142nd Annual Memorial Day! Meagan Gray and Carman Wega staffed the USCC Museum to hold down the fort! Thanks to all!
At the end of the parade we were privileged to pull the wagon and walk through the Gettysburg National Military Park Cemetery! This was quite an honor to walk past the flag decorated graves and the location that Lincoln gave the Gettysburg Address. The Coffee Wagon is back in active service!
